About Charmine

Hello, my name is Charmine. I have been battling breast cancer since August of 2009. I went through all the original "standard" treatment for breast cancer which included a mastectomy, an auxillary lymph node dissection, 8 chemo treatments and 33 radiation treatments. Well, all that didn't work and I am now Stage 4 recurrent breast cancer, as it has spread outside of my breast lymph nodes. Onward and forward...with no regrets! On my amazing journey, I am now accompanied by Hope- in many more ways then one! So many wonderful people have helped me along my journey. My journey is now about LIVING with a Stage 4 cancer, and paying it forward. Together, my pit bull Hope and I are going to continue to make a difference in other cancer patient's lives. We look forward to our journey together, and all the adventures that we will have together. My goal is to get Hope certified as a therapy dog, and to be able to go into cancer centers and hospices to spread HOPE to others.
